My trip to Peru started around 11pm on a Monday. The flight out was just after 2am. At 2 am it is important to note that all of the lounges in the airport are closed as well as most of the restaurants and stores. This leg of the journey was on Copa Airlines. Things went pretty smoothly before boarding with the caveat that the intercom system used for our gate wasn't loud enough to cover the area the passengers were sitting. It is also worth noting that much of the messaging over the intercom was in Spanish, though some not all were repeated in English.
Once boarded I was offered beverage service while the main cabin was boarding. Once everyone was on board, business class passengers meal orders were taken. I chose the breakfast sandwich. It was better than expected. This particular plane was a 737-Max so there was no under seat storage in business class.

A few hours later I was in Panama.
I landed in the new terminal but my connection was out of the old terminal. It was a reasonably short layover so I proceeded directly to the lounge in the old terminal. That review will be covered in another article.
The flight to Peru from Panama was around 3 hours. The same service was done on this second leg, except this time I chose the complete. I was really impressed with the omelet. So impressed that I forgot to take any photos of it.
Once I arrived in Lima it was a bit of a walk to Immigration and luckily I was amongst the first people off the plane and I walk with purpose most of the time. As in many airports just after immigration you are thrust into the shopping area. The selection of alcohol here was pretty good and the prices weren’t bad.
The return trip was a little tense as the flight was delayed and I nearly missed my connection. Another really important thing to note when in the PTY airport going to the US there will be an additional security screening at the gate. THis is important to consider because there isn't enough space for a full flight of passengers in the post security area. Also there is no organization what so ever, so if you are an early boarding group you will have to push through people to get to the front. Also on this trip I had a business class ticket and group 2 boarding. Unfortunately as I got to the front I was told that many people had group 2 and that accounted for way more than just the 16 passengers in business class.
The food was pretty good on the trip though.
